Pencil, Paddle & Paper

A Naturalist’s and Artist’s Views of White River
Fine artist and river rat, Bruce Neckar and IUPUI Hydrologist, Jeremy Webber take to canoes to show you White River as you've never seen it.
Wildlife, river flow and history will be explored and discussed during this leisure paddle and float trip. Opportunties to draw and photograph provided often.
Though you're never far from roads, farms and homes a trip down White River feels like a trip back in time. Along the way see historic Koteewi Park, Strawtown Pottery, Potter's Bridge and an abandoned hydroelectric plant.
Following each day, student/artists will gather in Bruce's riverfront studio to draw, paint or discuss what they've seen and experienced.

The evening will be spent around the campfire eating a delicious meal and enjoying storytelling and old time music.
